My first mail away ATC swap...

Okay, this is just a quick blog I decided to do because my poor blog has been the red-headed step child of my life. I am participating in an ATC (Artist Trading Card) swap on Facebook where the cards have to be based on a catchphrase, song lyric, or some such saying. I decided to do it because.......if I don't keep working at making "art" I will never get better at it. ATCs are the perfect way to experiment with techniques.

My three phrases are: Motherhood is not for Wimps! or Mama's don't let your babies grow up to be WOW-boys, (in case you aren't familiar, WOW is a very addictive online game,) a play on the Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson song. A Stitch in Time Saves 9 and Hold on to Your Dreams!

If you haven't made any ATCs...maybe you should! They're fun and take very little investment.

  1. ATCs are so fun to make. With little investment in time and supplies - I feel safe to try things I normally wouldn't try. I love these - particularly, the "Motherhood" atc. Cute.
Now go clean up that studio!
('cause if you're anything like me - after an hour or two of atc making - it's a total MESS!!)

  3. Great ATCs and a good idea to start with. I am addicted to making ATCs and may need a 12 step program soon.

  4. Hey there Debbie!

I saw that you said "hello" on Donna Sloma's blog :) so I am waving back at ya!

Great job on the ATC's - keep it up! I remember I found my first few to be really challenging because of the size and format but it soon became addictive.

Let me know when you are ready for a trade!
